HOW?
Botulinum Toxin Type A is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum.
The toxin temporarily blocks the transmission of muscle contracting chemical messages between the nerve and the muscle.
Without these messages, the muscle stays in a relaxed state until the ‘messengers’ recover, which takes approximately 8 to 12 weeks on average.
CONSULTATION
A thorough consultation including medical history and an assessment of your needs and expectations is carried out to ensure this is an appropriate treatment for you.
Botulinum Toxin Type A is a prescription only medicine so an appointment will be made with a Prescriber before the neurotoxin can be administered.
RESULTS
You will see an improvement within 2 or 3 days of treatment with best results from two weeks onwards.
A two week review appointment is necessary to access the success of the treatment and adjust for your personal needs.
